Silver Springs Nature’s Theme Park has attracted visitors from around the country since the mid 19^th century.  The famous Glass Bottom Boat tours of the springs began in the late 1870’s.  The attraction features animal exhibits.  The Silver River State Park is just downstream from the  attraction.   Wild Waters is a water park opened in 1978 inside Silver Springs also located there is the Six Guns a western themed territory that closed in 1984 and Prince of Peace Memorial that closed in the mid 70’s.
